Jianna Kim first began her journey of volunteerism with Special Olympics back in the 6th grade. Little did she know that this experience would shape the course of her life in the most profound way. Witnessing the joy and determination of the athletes, she felt a calling to do more and make a lasting impact on society.

In pursuit of this vision, she took the bold step of establishing a non-profit organization called GIVE-Youth. Starting out alone, with a burning passion to make a difference, she set out on a mission to engage more people in volunteer activities and contribute to the betterment of society. Over time, their small team grew, and they had five dedicated members in their local community. But she didn't stop there. Driven by their collective purpose, they expanded their reach, crossing borders and cultures, to embrace 63 members from different regions in the United States (PA, CA, NJ, DE), Korea, India, and Morocco. Through countless volunteer events and initiatives, they have been able to extend a helping hand to those in need, touching lives and making a positive change.

One pivotal moment in her journey was when she became a coach for Special Olympics in the 8th grade. Working closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities, she was moved by their strength and resilience, but also acutely aware of the challenges they faced in society. Employment opportunities were scarce, and the ability to earn a living independently was a distant dream for many.

Determined to create meaningful solutions, they organized an art exhibition for autistic individuals through GIVE-Youth. Witnessing the remarkable artistic talents they possessed, she was inspired to foster their self-expression through art. Their art exhibitions became a platform for them to showcase their creativity, and they even ventured into creating various products with their artwork.

It was this very experience that ignited the idea of establishing an agency to empower people with intellectual disabilities to earn their own income and lead fulfilling social lives. Their endeavor is not solely about financial gains; it's about unearthing their untapped potential and sharing their exceptional artistic sensibilities with the world.

This journey has become her life's meaningful mission. Seeing the impact of their work and the smiles on their faces fills her heart with immense joy and fulfillment. She is driven by the belief that every individual deserves a chance to shine, pursue their passions, and be recognized for their unique abilities.

As the founder of AId Agency, Jianna is incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this transformative journey. Together, they are making a difference, one life at a time, and she is excited to continue empowering and uplifting the lives of those they touch along the way.
